Dr Kisby presents a keynote lecture at the MCRC PGR Showcase 2026

Dr Tom Kisby was invited to present his current research programme in brain tumour therapeutics at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre Postgraduate Research Showcase. Alongside sharing recent progress and emerging findings, he also discussed his experience as a Cancer Research UK Career Development Fellowship awardee, highlighting how the scheme supports researchers in building independence, fostering collaborations, and developing ambitious cancer research programmes.

In addition, Tom facilitated two roundtable discussions on grant writing with early career researchers, focusing on practical strategies for developing competitive funding applications.
